R. Lee Gamble
is an author and freelance writer with over 25 years experience writing for various newspapers and magazines in Northeast Ohio, including the Call & Post, The News Herald, Scene Magazine, and Northern Ohio Live.

Her short story Run on Any How was published in Tavis Smiley’s anthology Keeping the Faith, which won the NAACP Image Award for literature. As an entertainment writer her film reviews received national recognition in the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times. Over the years she has interviewed many celebrities including Angela Bassett, Meryl Streep, John Malkovich and Will Smith. She has also had the opportunity to interview major political figures including Julian Bond, Dick Gregory, the late Shirley Chisolm and the late Barbara Jordan. While working in public relations, R. Lee coordinated all the media relations for Cleveland’s Riverfest “The Bicentennial.” She also coordinated the media relations for Spike Lee when he spoke about “X” at Cleveland State University, as well as for actor Clifton Davis’ annual golf outing. 

R. Lee has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Communications. She is currently working on her first novel. She is also in the process of creating a blog and a website. She resides in Cleveland Heights, Ohio with her husband Darrin and three daughters Tyler, Devin and Raena, cats Kasey and Chi Chi and dog Buddy. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
